last day of work at SGH today!!! was feeling super happy but a little sad at the same time. happy to finally get my rest but a bit sad to leave my colleagues... haha i rmb initially i was just like really quiet and dao... then i got to know the colleagues and i think they are a really awesome group of ppl. ahah. i felt like the baby of the office, cause i was the youngest there. and all the other aunties really took care of me! like they would ALWAYS buy food for us like when they went overseas, or just like when they buy something they will just buy more for us. and towards the end of my job, this colleague of mine was so sweet she bought breakfast for me every morning! initially it was just "try this curry puff! its v nice and crispy" then there was a hotdog roll, nasi lemak, and this morning, MACDONALDS BREAKFAST. super nice right! i think i put on weight working. ahha. everyday sit there eat junk food!:) i brought my ah ma's signature homemade pineapple tarts for them! was really glad they liked it:) they were really nice and kind to me! ahah someone bought a cake and they were all like secretly hiding in the pantry to not let the big boss find out. and the gift they gave me was just.... i was really shocked. i wonder if i even deserved such kindness la. but oh wells, it was an awesome LAST DAY OF WORK, and i will always rmb these awesome colleagues!!
i think out of the jobs that i have had, this was by far my favourite one!:) teaching was kinda fun cause of the students i guess and i think i learnt a lot there... but its not really my thing this teaching thingo. although this job can get really boring at times, and the pay is quite shitty, i had awesome colleagues and interesting experiences that made it all work out in the end:) i figured that i can be a pretty good receptionist. or customer service person. ahah. my colleagues say i sound really polite over the phone! ahha. although i hate the never ending phone calls, but at least i found something i am "good" at. oh wells, too bad. the next time you call SGH admissions office, you won't get to hear my sweet voice anymore! ahahha.
actually i think i prefer working than slacking. i just can;t stand not having anything to do at all. i mean a few days of slacking is great... can hibernate, get some rest... but like 3 weeks is a little bit long for me. ahha. i ALMOST wanted to extend my contract, but i decided i needed to let myself rest and get er... ready for school. yea. haha my ultimate excuse.
shall try to see if i can still squeeze myself in to volunteer for YOG or something. ahaha. i think i am just born a workaholic.
