back from shanghai!:) it was such a nice trip:) just me and my ah ma visiting the 3 cutest cousins ever:)
when i was still in singapore waiting for the flight, i had a bad scare. we were having breakfast at macs and so we decided to go to the toilet. to our horror, when we entered the toilet, there were like around 20 china women changing in the toilet and using the toilet WITH THE DOORS OPEN. i was like WHAT THE HELL!!! then when we left macs, there was this giant group of about 100(not exaggerating here) china ppl walking towards our direction making hell lot of noise. i was in shock and i asked my mum "we are still in singapore right?" gosh. why are there so many of them here! its like everywhere you go in singapore you are bound to find a china person. rahhh.
weather there was crazy though. i was damn suay. i was damn sure the weather forecast said 16-22 degrees when i left! but when i got there, the weather took a turn for the worse and i was experiencing single digit temperatures-.- totally caught off guard. my only protection was my red jacket that i wore to LTs in school. it even started haling! gosh. its like the sky was a giant ice kachang machine grinding all the ice.
ok but anw i got to see my dear cutie cousins:)) went to school to pick the 2 older ones up. they weren't even the least suprised-.- they totally acted like they were expecting it all along! but the smallest one was the cutest:) when we got home, he saw us and screamed and hid behind his auntie. ahha:)
i spent most of my time there just slacking at home and playing with baby:) he is just sooo cute!:) he says the funniest things. ahha. and omg his chinese is damn nice to hear! i dunno its just like when he opens his mouth to speak chinese it just sounds so nice! it has a nice tone to it, not overly annoying cheena but better than normal singaporean chinese. haha. i just smile when i hear him go "jasmine jie jie" haha. and the kids know i am a softy so they always bully me. ahah. like when their mummy says "NO" and they come whining to me i will be like "okok last one ok?" ahha.
but they sleep really early though. bed time is like 8pm-.- lol. so in the night when all the kids are sleeping my ah ma and i start watching hong kong drama! haha they have this damn cool thing which has many dramas stored inside so you can watch it anytime:) we managed to finish the show 唐心风暴之家好月圆! all 40 episodes! ahah. its a nice typical hong kong drama!:) we got so super annoyed when china decided to stop all entertainment channels cause they are mourning for the qinghai earthquake. i was like ok i understand the mourning thing, but i thought it was so extreme to stop tv for a day! they even banned international channels like HBO and Hallmark and stuff. and certain websites i think. gosh. so i was really bored with no tv to watch-.-
and i am so envious of my cousins's school! its an international school so its really cool:) their school system is so different and the kids there are all so pretty and handsome! ahha. their neighbour is also foreign! i forgot what country they are from, but the little girl is soooo pretty! when she grows up she will definitely be a pretty pretty girl. ahah.
in the weekends we went to a manmade beach and a strawberry farm! i've never seen strawberries grow on bushes before so it was quite an experience! the beach was pretty normal. i was freezing though. the wind was just attacking me from all directions! its like internal chills. but my cousins were enjoying themselves flying kites and building sandcastles and stuff. ahha. its like i feel so happy just seeing them enjoy themselves:)
and of course, we went shopping. ahah. its crazy the black markets. everything is so cheap you just want to keep buying stuff! ahha. i almost fainted when i saw the floor with all the shoes. its like far east times 10. and the shoes start off at like 60 yuan which is 12 bucks and you can still bargain! so typically you can get a pair of shoes for 40-50 yuan which is like 10 bucks or less! haha. shopping heaven man. and i bought a "jimmy choo" wallet! haha. its so plain and classy. and it really looks like the real one! i shopped till i really had no more money left. ahha.
i cant believe 10 days passed so quickly. it was such a good trip. i was able to relax and not think about the oh-so-worrying FUTURE and uni apps and stuff. just me, my ah ma and my cute adorable cousins:)))
