sky high

sighhhhh lao teo passed away today.... kinda shocked cause it was really fast. he was just diagnosed with cancer not long. oh well, but i guess its good that he suffers less. heard he was in a lot of pain... although i'm not particularly close to him, but its still sad cause he has always been around... like he would use to come down with lao gou to chat with ah gong ah ma, and i used to see him with lao gou and lily ah ee going for breakfast while i walked to school... he was always looking v friendly and cheerful... sigh. i think he is the first relative that i am sort of close to that has passed away. i cried this morn when i heard the news from my ah ma, who was crying herself... then at the wake when i saw his picture, when i saw lily ah ee's reddish eyes and nose... the worst was lao gou. when i saw her i started tearing when i got home. i feel so sad for her... sigh. but i think the coolest thing about chinese funerals is that in the wake, it is more like a celebration of the person's life, with everyone coming over like a party:) rest in peace lao teo.
